Eliot Spitzer had a lot going for him, at least, as measured by his attempts to right many seeming injustices that, to most of us, needed fixing – outsized pay packages to undeserving CEO’s among them. In some ways, it’s a shame that Spitzer got outed for having a night (a few hours?) with a high priced prostitute; on balance, he was doing a lot of public good.
That’s my fantasy news flash for the day. I came across the article Businesses Offer Ways for Employees to Balance Work and Family on the ABC News site the other day that described how helping people deal with non-business related stress – marriage, children, etc. – makes employees more productive workers.
I just read a terrific article about an MBA candidate at Georgetown, who is wrestling with something other than what investment banking or management consulting firm she wants to work for when she graduates.
